A tub of Dymatize ISO 100 costs well over ₹15,000, which is exactly why it gets copied. Fake and grey-market whey is a real problem in India, and a convincing duplicate can look almost identical on a shop shelf. The good news is that you can check if your Dymatize protein is original in a few minutes, before you open the seal.
Muscle House India is the official importer of Dymatize in India, so we see a lot of questions about this. Here is the checklist we give our own customers.
1. Read the importer details on the label
Every imported supplement sold legally in India must show the importer's name and address and the importer's FSSAI licence number. On a genuine tub we import, the label reads "Imported and marketed by Muscle House (I) Pvt Ltd", with our Karol Bagh, New Delhi address.
If the importer section is missing, covered with a plain sticker, or names a company you can't find, treat the tub as suspect.
2. Verify the code on the pack
Genuine tubs from Muscle House India carry a code you can check on our Verify Now page. Enter the details from your tub and the page confirms whether it came through the authorised supply chain.
Vikram, a customer from Assam, scanned his code before opening his ISO 100 and wrote to us that it verified straight away. This takes under a minute and is the most reliable check on this list.
[Before publishing: add the exact steps of the Verify Now process here, for example where the code is printed and whether an OTP is sent.]
3. Check the seal and the lid
The inner foil seal should be intact, tight and evenly stuck all the way round. A loose, wrinkled or re-glued seal is a warning sign. So is an outer shrink wrap that looks hand-applied, or a lid that has clearly been opened before.
4. Look closely at the printing
Counterfeit labels often give themselves away in small details. Look for blurry text, colours that don't match the product photos on the official site, spelling mistakes, or a batch number and expiry date that look stamped on unevenly.
Compare your tub with the photos on our Dymatize ISO 100 and Elite Whey pages. If something looks different, ask us before you use it.
5. Be careful with prices that look too good
A discount of a few hundred rupees is normal. A tub selling for thousands below the usual price, from a seller you don't know, usually means it is fake, expired, or re-labelled. Imported protein costs real money to bring into India, and no seller can sell it far below cost for long.
6. Notice how it mixes and tastes
This check only works after opening, so use it as a last line of defence. Genuine Elite Whey is instantised and dissolves in a shaker in a few seconds. ISO 100 should be light and mix without heavy clumps. A gritty, chalky or unusually sweet powder, or one that sits in lumps, is worth reporting.
Where to buy genuine Dymatize in India
The simplest way to avoid fakes is to buy from the importer or from a distributor the importer has authorised. When you buy directly from Muscle House India, every tub comes from our own imports and can be checked on the Verify Now page.
Frequently asked questions
Is Dymatize on Amazon or Flipkart original?
It can be, if the seller is an authorised distributor. Check the seller name, then check the importer label and verify the code when the tub arrives.
What should I do if my Dymatize tub fails verification?
Don't consume it. Contact the seller for a refund, and email us at info@musclehouseindia.com with photos of the label and seal.
Does the batch number prove a tub is real?
On its own, no. A batch number can be copied from a genuine tub. Use it together with the importer label and the verification code.
Can fake whey protein be harmful?
It can. You don't know what is inside a fake tub, how it was stored, or whether it contains what the label claims. That risk is the main reason to check before you drink it.
